The seemingly effortless beauty of this wedding perfectly accentuated Erin and Jesse's love for one another. Come see one of our favorite coastal weddings of all time!
As anyone who has visited the Big Sur coastline will tell you, there simply is nothing quite like it. The scenery is so rugged and surreal that any experience is highlighted by being in its presence. When Alex and her team from Sterling Engagements approached us about this wedding, we couldn't stop imagining the possibilities!!
Everything about this wedding was unique and special to the bride and groom, right down to the nitty gritty details. The venue, Paion estate, featured spectacular views of the coastline, so the ceremony was relatively minimalist in style.
The backdrop for the nuptials featured a gorgeous garland of greenery which was "magically" suspended and draped behind the couple. We created a beautiful mandala out of various petals which added a perfect touch of color to the ceremony.
Now about this reception! Suspended above the guests were beautiful chandeliers of greenery at varying heights and sizes. These tabletops still make us swoon- everything from the texture to the color palette was flawless. Florals were wild and overgrown with such depth and personality- anemones, protea, and astilbe allowed for such wonderful texture! The deep blue velvet used for tabletop linens provided the perfect contrast for the vintage rose gold silverware and chargers. The blush and pink votives and stemware accentuated the designs so well and tied the place settings to the florals while simultaneously adding a touch of warmth and romance.
Then, let's talk about these massive teepees which were brought in to surround a dazzling campfire. Gorgeous lounge furniture, petite florals, and tons and tons of candles finished this fun addition to the reception.
Suspended above the dance floor was our custom 12ft ring which we turned into an oversized dreamcatcher. Inspired by the bohemian vibes Erin and Jesse wanted as well as the beautiful outdoors of the venue, we hand sewed a few different macrame designs as well as various touches of greenery to the main ring. Then, we went around and added tons of grey and blush lace, ribbon, and gold-dipped feathers to the exterior of the ring. It was the perfect ceiling installation to dance the night away!
