Get in the holiday spirit with a DIY project! Use this 'Merry Mail' sign to showcase all of those adorable holiday cards you receive from your family and friends this season! With a short list of supplies and a few easy steps, you'll be able to do it yourself!

  • Supplies
    • Scrap Same Size wood
    • heavy duty stapler
    • Tape measure
    • Wood screws
    • Drill
    • Twine
    • Desired ribbon and decorations
    • scissors
    • Heavy Duty Stapler
    • Blue, Gold, Green & Black Markers
    • White spray paint
    • Clothespins painted gold
    • Desired Wording as a stencil


    1. Lay out wood to resemble the final product. 
    2. Use your drill and wood screws to attach the wood panels to create a board.
    3.  Spray paint the full board white to give it a more tailored look.
    4. Attach desired ribbons to the bottom portion of the board to make for a present like look.
    5. Attach twine needed to hang cards in a zig zag formation above and below the ribbon that was attached.
    6. You can either either the twine in a knot on the back side of the board or for more support, you can staple directly to the board itself. Make sure, if you are stapling that you staple on the back side of the board so it does not show.
    7. Copy stencil onto your board and color in with gold marker.
    8. Attach gold clothespins to twine and remember to leave enough room for the cards to be side by side.
    9. Using miscellaneous decorations that you have gathered, cover parts of the board you have created so far in desired locations for the best looking wall sign.
    10. Complete!
