Real Party: The Sweetest First Birthday

As many of you know, the SY&Co. team loves to establish relationships with our clients and we love being a party of birthdays, weddings, baby showers, and more. Chriselle Lim from The Chriselle Factor is a client that we have worked with for many of those events- and it was an honor to design her beautiful baby's first birthday party.

We just recently did Chloe's 100 days celebration at a gorgeous private estate and were given the wonderful task of creating the ultimate "pastry" themed birthday party. Chriselle loves to intertwine cultural themes with modern and her events always come out with the wow factor most people dream about.

Jeannie from Details Details is always an absolute wonder to work with and this event was no exception. The Holding Co. in Los Angeles is a beautiful venue and it provided us with a modern blank slate to begin design. Its high ceilings, beautiful wood beams, and open floor plan make it such an amazing place to have an event.

We created custom signage using real madeline pastries (so fun) for the 8'x12' backdrop which was covered in the most darling white ruffled fabric. Of course we added some petite floral blooms to the "one" in order to tie it in with the rest of the event.

The color scheme was very sweet, relying primarily on soft hues of pink and cream with the occasion modern pop of a very vibrant red. It was important to the clients that the event be beautiful and classic while simultaneously be fun and relaxed.

The interior design for the dining area featured a very clean and linear design with vibrant but simple florals in pure white porcelain vases. Napkin treatments were vibrant and showcased a fun red and white ribbon with a fresh greenery accent. The French Bistro dining chair from Archive Rentals fit in perfectly with the natural wood beams in the venue.

The party also featured one of the best things ever- a DIY flower bouquet station! As florists and event designers, we were super excited to see a client want something as original as this! Guests were able to choose from a variety of fresh and vibrant florals as well as tie everything together with one of (my personal favorite) lace ribbons.

The vintage Angelica sofa seen below matched the beautiful cream Terese Rug and brought in a very special and warm vibe to the otherwise modern event. The addition of colorful throw pillows and soft white fur fabrics mixed wonderfully.

Thank you to all of the wonderful vendors that came together to create this beautiful event!
