Emma's mitzvah was a beautiful collaboration of sophistication and artistic expression. Bold and vibrant in every sense, this modern mitzvah is one the SYED team won't be forgetting any time soon! Michelle from Details Details rocked this one of a kind event with us along with a multitude of amazing vendors and we are totally stoked that we finally get to share Jessica Claire's gorgeous images! Before the reception, guests were treated to an eclectic lounge area inspired by one of our favorite designers, Jonathon Adler.
Lounge groupings consisted of a variety of suede sofas and benches which rested upon faux grass rugs. The inclusion of brass coffee and side tables with reclaimed wood really brought the design together! The gorgeous floral arrangements consisted of bright oranges, bold pinks, and greenery in various white vases. To pair, we included various fun white props!
The vibrant pop of tangerine color that came from the Casablanca linens from Luxe Linens paired beautifully with translucent ghost chairs.
Next up was one of our absolute favorite elements, the most fashionable escort card station of all time! To the right you'll see one of Shawna's initial sketches of the design. Ribbons and light to medium grey tulle provided guests with a preview of the greyscale interior of the ballroom.
Floral clusters were found on the bodice and names were tied to the dress with black satin ribbon.
The vogue reception featured dark linens with organic florals and tons of candles! We went with Luxe Linen's "Flint Va Va Voom" linen at the tabletop and a classy black shantung linen napkin atop a two-toned charger. Black infinity chairs brought a modern twist to the otherwise very romantic designs.
Our low designs sat atop a custom oversized stack of designer books. To one side we had a golden branched candelabra, with ivory taper candles. At the base of the design were various perfume bottles with ribbon accents. Floral designs were relatively loose and super beautiful in shades of white, blush, pink, and chocolate. Additional florals in petite satellite gold dishes mixed with black taper candle stands.
The high level design sat- yes, you guessed it- above eye level. Wispy and tall greenery was nestled into a large, custom accented acrylic column. At the base of the design were flowers in satellite vases with dozens of illuminated gold chevron and clear glass votives. To add balance between the very high floral design and the petite, we brought in black taper candle stands and white taper candles with mixed elevation provided by more custom "Vogue" book stacks.
The design above is one shared with us when we were gathering ideas for the event. The client's sketches and artistic expressions were used in a multitude of awesome ways- as Photo Booth backdrops, tabletop accents, and focal points!
It was expressed to us very early on that paper flowers were appreciated by the client so of course we had to bring them in along with the sweetest of all dessert tables. Two golden wings were perched at the sides of the design while paper flowers in assorted sizes cascaded down and clustered on the backdrop.
Now on to the super fun stuff! Emma's awesome mitzvah included very unique activities for guests to partake in. We grabbed two of our white oversized frames which then had faux strings from the ceiling wrapped in gorgeous greenery and vibrant flowers.
We incorporated some new and awesome rentals from Blueprint Studios for Emma's "Fluff-Anthropy" station where guests were able to create their own stuffed animals! Additionally, guests were invited to play a massive game of Lite Brite!
Lastly, guests were treated to these awesome custom hats personally designed by our client. We then styled them into a modern boxwood hedge wall to add more of an artistic flare to an otherwise standard party favor display.
